The Trust10 is a monthly 10k trail run that gives our visitors the opportunity to explore our special places in a unique way. Trust10 Volunteers play a key role in marshalling the route, ensuring safe access and offering encouragement! involved you could • Become part of a friendly and dedicated team • Meet people from all walks of life • Sharing skills and enthusiasm for sports with adults, children and families • Be part of Trust10 delivery through the National Trust team and external providers • See first-hand the rewarding results of helping visitors have a great time • Gain experience in a sport development context
Role summary The Trust10 is a monthly 10k trail run that gives our visitors the opportunity to explore our special places in a unique way. Trust10 Volunteers play a key role in marshalling the route, ensuring safe access and offering encouragement!
What's involved?  • Motivating other to share your passion for sport and the outdoors
• To facilitate the delivery of Trust10 prior to the event. Preparing start/finish areas, routes and safety checks
• Participate in discussions with runners and supporters and marshalling if necessary
• Trust10 takes places every 4th Sunday of the month between April and October
• As a Trust10 ambassador, you could also become involved in coordinating a small team of volunteers who share your enthusiasm and knowledge of running, as well as getting families, individuals and everyone involved in being active.
• We suggest bringing sensible clothes and footwear for working outdoors, in a variety of weathers.
• Helping things run as smoothly and safely as possible – this includes getting to know health and safety and evacuation process

All National Trust volunteers will be asked to
• Respect and uphold the National Trust values whilst volunteering with us
• Complete training required of all NT volunteers and any role specific training
• Adhere to relevant policies and processes including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity

Hours per week

Approx 4 hours once a month every 4th Sunday of the month between April and October

Transport details

Speke Hall is easily accessed by by car, bike, scooter etc. There is a walk from the nearest bus stop of around 1 mile to the visitor reception area. Most buses going to Liverpool John Lennon airport will pass the site.
