Our Volunteering Platform exists to offer volunteering opportunities to students and members of the wider community and is completely free for charities to register with.

You can complete our online registration form, uploading a copy of your Public Liability Insurance, Volunteer Policy and, where relevant, a Safeguarding Policy. By completing the form, you agree to our Service Level Agreement.

We’ll be in touch with a welcome email and “How to” guide once your organisation is approved, which will explain all the things you need to know about uploading opportunities for students to access, and how to approve volunteer applications.

We run the platform to best promote volunteering opportunities to our students, staff and the local community by working with organisations across Merseyside to advertise their opportunities. We promote organisations and their opportunities through our online web platform accessible to all students and staff, as well as regular newsletters, volunteer fairs and student meet ups with organisations.

Registering to the platform is completely free. We ask that you sign up on our website and once this request is processed we will send you an email asking for a copy of your Public Liability Insurance, Volunteer Policy and Safeguarding Policy where necessary.

We ask for all of our organisations to send over their Public Liability Insurance cover, as it simply covers the cost of legal action and compensation claims made against your business if a third party is injured or their property suffers damage whilst at your business premises, or when you are working in their home, office or business property

You can log in to our platform at our website.

Click Sign In at the top, then enter your username and password.

You will then be able to access your area of the database where you can then select manage opportunities and add new opportunity. Input your volunteering opportunity details and you are good to go. We will then get sent over the request to approve the opportunity so it can go live on our website.

You simply have to login to your profile on our website and select the manage opportunities section. From here, on each of your advertised opportunities you can select the timesheet requests tab to approve or decline student volunteering hours submitted.

The Liverpool Guild of Students has four keys charities who are picked annually by our students, for the Guild to work closely alongside to fundraise and promote their cause. Therefore, we prioritise promoting the work of these four charities and any other organisation who wishes to fundraise on site will have to pay for the space they require in our building. If you would like to apply to become one of the 2020/21 key charities then please get in contact with us at
