FAQ's

Coming to a campus – and a new city – can be daunting but you’ll be getting around Abercromby Square all the way to the Quad in no time.

To help you get around you can download a campus map from the UoL App but if you want a little extra help getting your bearings Guild Reception is open Monday – Friday and can help you find everything from our Cinema Room to the Brodie Tower

Our Give it a Go programme is packed full of free and low-cost activities and trips for you to try something new, explore new parts of the city and meet students from across campus. With our weekly quiz, live sport events and activities happening throughout semester, we offer a little something for everyone

Societies are also a great way to meet like-minded people. - and its completely free. You can meet and join over 200 societies at the Refreshers Fair on Friday 2nd February or you can view the full list below.

The 699 Arriva bus service runs a door to door bus service every 10 – 20 minutes until midnight each day.

The campus bus stop can be found outside the Guild Starbucks.

Alternatively, you can also use the 86 bus route, which stops at Penny Lane and runs 24 hours a day. You can find out more here. Dont forget you can pick up your discounted bus pass from the Guild shop when you arrive on campus.

If you’re unhappy with your University Accommodation you can contact the Accommodation Office by either emailing accommodation@liverpool.ac.uk or by telephone on 0151 795 0319. There is general advice on common housing issues on our webpages or alternatively you can make an appointment with our Advice Team by emailing guildadv@liverpool.ac.uk

There is a student Health Centre right on campus ran by Brownlow Health. You can register online at the Brownlow Health website or alternatively you can call into the Student Health Centre and fill out a registration form when you arrive on campus.

If you ever need any extra help or support then the Guild Advice service can help.

They offer free and confidential advice to University of Liverpool students on a range of academic, housing and wellbeing issues. The Advice Service is open Monday-Friday 9.30am-4.30pm.

You can also speak to the Advice and Guidance team in Student Welfare Advice and Guidance based in the Alsop Building, University Square. As well as mental health and wellbeing support they provide advice on money and finances alongside specific guidance for disabled and international students.
