Gardening with the Guild

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

Liverpool Guild of Students is inviting you to join us as a volunteer for weekly gardening sessions around the Oliver Lodge Garden

Becoming a gardening volunteer is a great opportunity to get involved with a brand-new project and experience planting, harvesting and general maintenance of the Oliver Lodge Garden. So why not spend an afternoon learning some gardening skills and helping to reduce the Guild’s carbon footprint? All materials will be provided so just bring yourself and get stuck in!

We need volunteers to help maintain the Oliver Lodge Garden and also: plan out what will be grown through the year, help with planting and harvesting of the plants and looking after them through the year which involves watering and weed removal as well as general tidying of the area. Tasks vary from day to day and with the seasons of the year. Gardening is a great way to chill and meet other students from different courses.

Areas that that we tend to, include the Guild Walk garden, outside of the Guild, and Wildflower and Hugelkultur beds, next to the CTL.

No gardening experience needed and al tools and equipment is provided!
