Open Day

Welcome to the University of Liverpool Open Day! Thank you for visiting our website to find out more about us

We are preparing for our return to the heart of campus and doing what we do best; creating your home away from home and putting students at the heart of everything we do. This hasn’t changed for this year, even if it looks a bit different.

For those joining us in September 2020, we have listed what measures are being put in place to make your University experience as safe as possible.

We are working hard behind the scenes to stay up to date with government guidelines, listen to the experts and learn from the best as businesses begin to emerge from lockdown. We are making sure we are ready for your arrival so we can welcome our new and returning students with ways you can safely grab your socially distant Starbucks, all important Uni hoodie and favourite meal deal.

We will be keeping you up to date with our road to reopening on our social channels and right here on our website to make sure you know what to expect from us when we reopen in terms of our adapted services and any one-way systems to follow.
The University is working hard to make our campus safe and ready for your arrival. From study spaces and learning environments to the all-important social hot-spots, starting with the reopening of our gorgeous green space Abercromby square for socially-distant picnics of dreams. We are here to help throughout the whole of your university experience from application all the way to graduation, supporting the needs of students and amplifying the student voice.
Here are just a few ways we’re on hand to support you:.
We are led by four student officers who are elected by a campus-wide vote each year to make sure we keep students at the heart of everything we do. They run campaigns, represent student views to the University and make change on campus and nationally, fighting for what matters to students. Over the last year they have led a successful Cut the Rent campaign, got the University to divest from Fossil Fuels and supported students through the COVID-19 pandemic, making sure their needs and concerns are a priority to local MPs, the University and the government.
Meet the Student Officers here.
Whilst we hope your time at University goes smoothly, our Advice Team is on hand to help support students with a free, independent and confidential advice service. The team cover a wide range of academic, housing and wellbeing issues, and are your first port of call if and when you need us. Find out more about advice team here
We understand that you’ll have lots of questions between now and when you arrive on campus. No matter how big or small your query is, feel free to ask us - we’re all ears.
You can get in touch with us via social media, email or our live chat on our website.

We are a Guild for everyone, opening the doors to opportunities to enrich your University experience, make your Linkedin shine and help you to meet new people.
Our building itself – complete with bars, a shop, Starbucks and a servery boasting the best Burrito you’ll get your hands on - offers lots of opportunities to socialise, relax and pick up those all important essentials.
Beyond this, we create opportunities for you to explore your interests; whether you want to give back and volunteer, go green and make a difference to the environment, create change on campus and represent students, find a part time job, meet like-minded students or storm to victory at a weekly (zoom) Quiz, we are here to help you make the most of your University years.
Our Societies have a little something for everyone, creating a sense of community based on a shared interest. From hosting amazing events and insightful info sessions to dazzling performances, society activities keeps our building and online activity bustling. Since lockdown our societies have hosted virtual bake-alongs, beekeeping sessions and dance lessons, proving that a global pandemic won’t stop them! Find out more here:
