Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, is a delicious way to celebrate the start of spring. From sugary crepes with lemon syrups, to chocolate stacks with pink strawberries, Liverpool has a pancake for you, and maybe one more! With one day to enjoy unlimited choices of pancakes, we have made your decision easier with the following list of Liverpool’s celebrated and crowd-pleasing pancakes.  

Moose Coffee

Located close to campus, on Hope Street, the Canadian café boasts a wide selection of fab and fluffy treats. With a designated “Pancake Week”, the menu features the best flavours, from hazelnut to blueberries. Each stack features three pancakes, served with Canadian maple syrup and butter. You can even ask for more syrup, with no extra fee! 

Organico

If you’re heading to town, why not walk-through Bold Street to visit Organico for veggie, vegan options. Bold Street hosts an eclectic mix of cafe’s, vintage shops, and coffee stops with Organico being a strong contender, for those searching for veggie and vegan options. Pancakes are a permanent feature on Organico’s Menu, with walnuts, syrups, berries and more. 

Albert Schloss: “All Day Pancake Event” 

The “Pancake Haus” will be running all day, serving loaded pancakes from 9am ‘til close. With sweet treats, there also comes the "one day only wünder”: a limited edition Banoffee Pie Pancake special, “lashings of caramelised bananas, a scoop of creamy, artisan vanilla ice cream, and a generous drizzling of sweet caramel sauce”. Hard to resist! 

For those who prefer savoury pancakes, there will be maple bacon, and syrupy savoury options too. Located in the city centre, it’s the best kind of day-out.  

 

Bill’s Restaurant and Bar: “All You Can Eat” 

Bills are hosting a Pancake Day special: All you can eat pancakes! That’s right, as many buttermilk pancakes as you can stomach for £7.50. You can even add £3.50 for unlimited hot drinks. If you are feeling brave, sign up to their: ‘all you can eat’ challenge. Eat as many pancakes as possible in 90 minutes, with the highest number winning a year of free pancakes! 

The Vibe 

The top-rated vegan café in Liverpool is boasting a mouth-watering selection of pancakes this pancake day. Located at Chancery House, The Vibe is a plant-based cafe, with a funky neon lights and plants decorating the beautiful cafe. The ‘Power Me Up’ pancakes feature a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled maple syrup.
