Internal Support 

The University’s support services will provide support for students’ welfare and mental wellbeing after a experiencing sexual misconduct

At our advice centre, we provide free, confidential and independent advice on your options on reporting avenues and support available for survivors.

External Support 

RASA provides professional counselling to those who have experienced sexual violence. You can make a self-referral online here or you can call their helpline at 0151 666 1392

Rape Crisis England and Wales are a national umbrella organisation with a number of rape crisis centres around the country. They have a helpline at 0808 802 9999 and also a live chat helpline here.

RASASC provide support for survivors of rape and sexual assault around Merseyside and Cheshire. You can refer yourself to RASASC for free professional counselling here.

Savera support survivors of ‘honour’-based abuse such as forced marriage and female genital mutilation. You can contact them through their helpline at 0800 107 0726 or you can self refer yourself here.

LDAS provide support and help empower survivors of domestic abuse. They have a number of multilingual staff and also services for those who are hard of hearing. You can contact them by calling 0151 263 7474 .

Galop is a charity which specifically provides support for LGBTQ+ people who have faced domestic abuse and sexual violence. Their domestic abuse helpline can be reached at 0800 999 5428, meanwhile self referrals can be made here .

SurvivorsUK support male survivors of sexual violence, including experiences from childhood. They can be called at 02035983898 or you can enquire online about counselling here.
