About Us

Liverpool Marrow is UoLs student branch of the Anthony Nolan charity.

Patients with blood cancers and blood disorders may eventually need a stem cell transplant in order to save their lives.

Often a match can be found from the patient's family, however 75% of patients turn to the national stem cell register to find their donor. Anthony Nolan works to sign up potential life savers to the stem cell register and locates matches for patients in desperate need every day.

Last year, Anthony Nolan helped 1,300 individuals to find their life-saving match. Come help us complete our pledge of signing up 200 potential lifesavers this year !

  • Get involved with our donor recruitment events throughout the year.
  • Help us raise money for Anthony Nolan - it costs around £40 to add someone to the register.
  • Diversify the register with us. There is a vital need as caucasian patients are 70% likely to find a match however people from BAME backgrounds are only around 20% likely to find their potential lifesaver !
