Come and join the Liverpool Ballroom and Latin Society to learn and develop a new skill! We have weekly classes for people of all abilities, so if you've never danced before, or you've been dancing since you were little, we'd love to have you!
We welcome students from all universities across Liverpool and ex-students!
We initially focus our beginners on four main dances, which are waltz & quickstep (for ballroom) and cha cha & jive (for Latin), but we also learn a wide variety of other dances, including, tango, Viennese waltz, rumba, samba and rock ‘n’ roll, especially for higher levels!
We compete against other universities up and down the country each year, and we are excited to be bringing back our annual Liverpool competition this year too, where we invite students and ex-students from all across the country to come and compete here in Liverpool in semester two! As well as competitions, we occasionally do performances within the university, such as at the Latin Festival last year.
We are a lively, friendly club, and hold regular socials; last year this included mini golf, pub crawls, and karaoke!
So whether you are the next Anton Du Beke or have two left feet, you will find a home here in LBLS.
