Overview
Come and join us for a session on Careers, and to learn the basics of archaeological drawing!

This time, we're swapping the slides for sketchbooks! Our third careers session is a skills workshop: a short talk on why archaeologists and museum teams draw artefacts and what makes an archaeological drawing important, then you'll get hands-on with real pottery sherds and learn to measure, orient and draw them step by step — from finding the rim diameter to a finished profile.

🗓️ Monday 2nd November, 5pm-7pm
📍 The Guild Library
💬 Short talk, then drawing — stay as long as you like, the boardgames will be out too!

No experience or artistic talent needed — it's about measuring and recording, not art class, so if you can use a ruler, you can do this! All materials will be provided.

This session will be hosted by Yoana, who has drawn finds during post-excavation at Little Crosby and as a research assistant, and is looking forward to sharing the basics!

We hope to see many of you there!🏺
