Should the Guild educate students on the background of both the companies/suppliers?

Last semester, a student submitted an idea to our Change It platform, which proposed that the Guild no longer stock Bacardi rum, and instead replace it with an alternative, such as Havana Club. The idea was then discussed at our student decision-making body, Guild Summit, on 23rd April 2023. At that meeting Summit attendees did not reach consensus on the matter, and so it is now going to a cross-campus ballot. Ideas that divide opinion at Guild Summit are put to a campus-wide ballot, to enable all students to express their views on the matter.
