Black History Month
Black History Month presents an opportunity to explore the beauty and power of Black culture and history; a chance to move beyond our colonial past of Black erasure and move towards validating Black stories. Black History Month ensures that Black narratives, individuals, histories, presents and futures are brought to the forefront of the conversation all year round.
This year's theme is "Reclaiming Narratives," marking a shift towards recognising and correcting the narratives of Black history, shining a brighter light on the untold black stories, allegories and history.
