Hi! You might be thinking what makes the Socialist Student society different to other left wing groups on campus. The difference is we are a broad group of socialists of any variety, regardless of what political party or group you are a part of. We are a group that have existed for 2 years already, we have finally gotten round to affiliating to the guild, and we want to welcome as many as possible to a welcoming and friendly group for discussion and action.
We discuss Socialist and Marxist ideas in fortnightly meetings, alongside monthly theoritical discussions on an assigned text. We also frequently go to picket lines throughout the city and we aim to provide interesting guest speakers occasionally for our meetings and we hope to be able to learn from each others perspectives and knowledge in both a formal and informal capacity.
