Chinese culture at Liverpool, for anyone who wants in on the vibe. Festivals, Mandarin practice, and socials through the year. All are welcome!
The XJTLU Chinese Society was founded in 2009 by the first group of exchange students from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University to come to Liverpool. It has since been recognised as the Guild's Society of the Year and is one of the largest Chinese societies in the city.
We're open to everyone. You don't need to be Chinese nor do you need to speak Mandarin. Some of our members grew up with the language and culture, some are here because they like the community and vibe.
We run our year around the festivals. Mid-Autumn in September, Lunar New Year in February, and informal Mandarin language exchange sessions through the term for anyone who wants to practise. Food at our events are inclusive (and delectable).
Come and find us at the Welcome Fair!
