LivPsych is the University of Liverpool's student Psychiatry society.
Although run by medical students, our aim is to help both students studying medicine, as well as students from across the student body to gain an awareness of psychiatry as a medical specialty, of mental health, and of other 'brain-related' topics in general. We seek to:
• Help medical students interested in psychiatry to learn more about the specialty and gain valuable experience for their portfolios
• Support all medics academically to help them to pass their exams and cope with psychiatry placements
• Engage with the whole student body to help inspire and engage those in subjects related to mental health
• Facilitate conversations about mental health especially in relation to current events
• Help reduce stigma related to mental health
