The Cubing Society is open to anyone interested in Rubik’s Cubes, offering relaxed sessions to learn, practice, and enjoy cubing together in a friendly and social environment.
We aim to bring together students who are curious about Rubik’s Cubes, whether they are complete beginners or already enjoy solving. The society focuses on making cubing a fun and approachable hobby, with no pressure to be fast or competitive. Our sessions are designed to help members learn at their own pace, share tips, and enjoy solving cubes together.
The society plans to run regular meet-ups where members can practice cubing, socialise, and improve their skills. Beginner-friendly sessions will introduce the basics of solving a 3×3 Rubik’s Cube, while informal practice time allows members to apply what they have learned. For those interested, we will also share simple tips and strategies to improve solving efficiency and confidence.
Sessions will mainly focus on relaxed, in-person practice, with the option for occasional online interactions if needed. Over time, we hope to build a small but active cubing community within the university, with the possibility of hosting friendly internal competitions and collaborative events with other university cubing groups. Overall, the Cubing Society is about learning, practicing, and enjoying Rubik’s Cubes together in a welcoming and supportive space.
