The Advocacy Society aims to help you develop your communication skills and increase your confidence when addressing both large and smaller groups of people. We aspire to do this through fun and friendly competitions and workshops provided both internally and externally. Our events will provide all students with excellent opportunities to improve their advocacy skills in both legal and non-legal settings.
Join us this year for a range of academic and social events designed to not only develop your skills and attributes as an advocate, but to see advocacy in practice with our regular Court Visits to Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts in Liverpool and Manchester tribunals.
A trip to both an Inns of Court in London and the Supreme Court of the UK where you will have the chance to see real advocacy in action!
Attend our highly informative workshops and events designed to help you develop your confidence, independence and purpose. Why not put your advocacy skills to the test with our annual Speed Mooting competition judged by legal professionals? A perfect opportunity to compete and show off your newly acquired skills.
Every event hosted by the Advocacy society is designed to help you gain an insight into legal advocacy in practice.
