If you have danced before, and are ready for a class that sits above introductory knowledge, then the Novice taster is for you.
This class will allow you to dance with the Novice and Open dancers of the society and others, to allow our instructor to best guide you as to which level to dance in, and who to partner with. This class may be Cha Cha or Jive depending on the composition of the class.
- If you have Latin shoes, please wear them. Otherwise, bring some comfortable shoes to wear and clothes that you don't mind sweating in.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Get ready to jump back into your hobby, and make some friends whilst you're doing it!
There is a society social in the Courtyard after your lesson is over. If you'd love to stay and chat to the people you have just met, then stick around for it once you're done dancing :)
This 45 minute lesson includes an introduction to the society, some sample choreography at novice level of the chosen dance, and a chance to dance with different members of the society to see who you dance well with.

Accessibility Companion Tickets
At Liverpool Guild of Students, we recognise that for some of our students to be able to fully access an event and take advantage of all that we have to offer they may require support from another person. It is Liverpool Guild of Students’ policy that where a person requires assistance to access the event they are attending, we make available one free ticket which will enable a guest with access requirements to bring a personal assistant with them to support them with their access needs.
