Come along and try a free introduction class to one of our core dances, the Jive. If it's something new to you, it might just become your new obsession!
- No experience necessary!
- Come alone, we will partner you up with someone new to meet... or bring a friend and dance together.
- Wear comfy trainers and some clothes you don't mind sweating in.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Get ready to find your new hobby to wow your friends, and make some new ones whilst you're doing it!
There is a society social in the Courtyard after your lesson is over. If you'd love to stay and chat to the people you have just met, then stick around for it once you're done dancing :)
This 45 minute lesson includes an introduction to what the Jive is, it's rhythms, and some basic choreography between you and another person.
There are two other taster classes before this focusing on two more of our chore dances: The Waltz and the Cha Cha Cha. Grab a ticket for those two if you want to make the most of it!
Hurry! Tickets tend to sell out quick, don't miss out on a fantastic time.

Accessibility Companion Tickets
At Liverpool Guild of Students, we recognise that for some of our students to be able to fully access an event and take advantage of all that we have to offer they may require support from another person. It is Liverpool Guild of Students’ policy that where a person requires assistance to access the event they are attending, we make available one free ticket which will enable a guest with access requirements to bring a personal assistant with them to support them with their access needs.
If you require an accessibility companion ticket, please get in touch with us as soon as possible at saadmin@liverpool.ac.uk so we can further understand your requirements.
