Overview
Get to know Wilderness Medicine Society!
Ever wondered what to do if you were the first person at an RTA? Or if a call is put out for a medic on a plane? Could you help a stabbing victim with what you’ve got in front of you?

Come join us for hands-on teaching sessions every Thursday, where you’ll learn the A-E’s and beyond of managing medical emergencies, even before your clinical years!

For this year's Give it a Go session, we figure out how to begin to assess a patient,  including big bleeds and C-spine injuries!

Through simulated patient scenarios, learn how to identify and manage extreme environments from blistering heat and bitter cold, to altitude and dive medicine, trauma care, and major incident management (Just to name a few!) But don’t worry, we’re also a very social society! We catch up at the pub after sessions and host bar crawls, pub quizzes and other events. Drinkers and non drinkers are welcome!

Companion tickets: At Liverpool Guild of Students, we recognise that for some of our customers to be able to fully access the performance and take advantage of all that we have to offer they may require support from another person. It is Liverpool Guild of Students’ policy that where a person requires assistance to access the event they are attending, we make available one free ticket which will enable a guest with access requirements to bring a personal assistant or companion with them to support them with their access needs.
