Bystander Intervention Training aims to improve your knowledge and understanding of sexual misconduct, other types of misconduct and to encourage you to feel empowered to challenge it. The session explores different approaches to intervention and looks at scenarios to explore barriers and enablers to the types of interventions available. Increased knowledge of bystander intervention has shown to lead to reduced incidents, increased reporting and a culture where victims feel supported and empowered. Becoming an active bystander can create a safer and more inclusive community that everyone is a part of.
This session is for Society Committee Members. This is a mandatory session alongside your in-person training. Please ensure you book onto a Society Training at a time/date that works best for you and your schedule – there are plenty to choose from! You can find society trainings here.
