OPEN DECKS | DANCE MUSIC & DJ SOCIETY
Ever wanted to DJ but never had the chance? Or already spend your evenings mixing tunes and want somewhere to play?
Come down to the Dance Music & DJ Society's Open Decks at The Fly; a relaxed, welcoming night for students to get behind the decks, discover new music and meet other DJs.
Whether you're completely new to DJing or you've been playing for years, you're welcome. There are no auditions, no pressure and no expectations, just bring your music and have a go.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Open 30min DJ slots for students to get behind the decks
• A relaxed environment to practise and experiment
• DJs playing everything from house, garage and techno to drum & bass, disco and beyond
• Meet other DJs, producers and music lovers
• Opportunities to get involved in future society events and club nights
NEW TO DJING?
Don't worry if you've never played in front of anyone before. Open Decks is designed to be a place where you can start, learn from other people and build your confidence.
You don't need to be an expert, you just need to love music.
MORE THAN JUST OPEN DECKS
We're building a proper student DJ community in Liverpool. Open Decks will be one of the main ways to get involved with the society, meet people and eventually get opportunities to play at our bigger events and club nights.
Come for a drink, come to listen, or sign up for a DJ slot. Everyone is welcome.
