Overview

Join us to speak to Dr Jess White about what being a professional historian means to her, and ask her your burning questions about history and life as an academic! Bring your lunch or snacks to enjoy during this relaxed session for the opportunity to hear from one of the History Department's many amazing lecturers.

Dr White is a social and cultural historian of modern Britain. She is interested in how race, racial thinking, and racism have shaped, and continue to shape, women's lives in modern Britain. To learn more about why she pursued this research area and how she became a lecturer, come along to the session!
