Hackabot 2025 is the Coding & Robotics Society’s flagship robotics challenge a hands-on event where teams of five race against the clock to build, code, and decorate a robot before competing in the final arena showdown.
What makes Hackabot unique?
You won’t know the robot’s challenge until the event begins. At 10:30, we’ll reveal the mystery task, and from that moment your team will have just a few hours to design, assemble, program, and refine your bot under real time pressure.
Throughout the day, participants will:
-
Form teams of five (or be matched with a group on arrival)
-
Build and program a robot from scratch
-
Test and troubleshoot as the challenge unfolds
-
Decorate their robot using recycled materials brought from home
-
Compete for awards in creativity, performance, and teamwork
This event is open to all skill levels, from total beginners to experienced makers we provide the kits, equipment, guidance, and workspace. Just bring your imagination, enthusiasm, and any recycled materials you want to use for decoration (cardboard, bottle caps, fabric scraps, foil, etc.).
We recommend bringing your own packed lunch.
Water will be provided throughout the event.
