Overview
Rep Bystander Intervention Training for those who have done it before.

Bystander Intervention Training aims to improve your knowledge and understanding of sexual misconduct, other types of misconduct and to encourage you to feel empowered to challenge it. The session explores different approaches to intervention and looks at scenarios to explore barriers and enablers to the types of interventions available. Increased knowledge of bystander intervention has shown to lead to reduced incidents, increased reporting and a culture where victims feel supported and empowered. Becoming an active bystander can create a safer and more inclusive community that everyone is a part of.

This session is for Course, School, Faculty, Senate and UoLIC Grad Reps, who have previously already attended a Bystander Intervention Session, either within their capacity as a Rep, Society Committee member, as a Student Staff Member, or otherwise. This is a mandatory session alongside your online or in-person rep training session. Please ensure you book onto both a Rep training session and Bystander Intervention Training session, at a time/date that works best for you and your schedule – there are plenty to choose from!
