We know that this Christmas may look very different and it may not be all sparky lights and mince pies. Whatever your plans are for the Winter Break, whether you’re carefully picking your Christmas bubble or staying on campus for the festive season, there is still support available if you need it.

Christmas on Campus

 

Looking to get a head start on your deadlines or need to unwind in the Sports Centre, lots of your favourite campus services are open over the Winter Break. You can find their Christmas Opening Times and the services available here.

 

Looking to study in the Courtyard or getting that Christmas coffee fix from Starbucks? We are running a reduced service over the Winter Break and you can view our Christmas Opening Times here.

 

 

 

Mental Health & Wellbeing 

 

Tis the season for self-care & prioritising your mental health. Get to know the services available to you over the Winter Break:

 

  • The University Student Services is offering a Well-being drop-in at the Sydney Jones Library Monday, 21 December 2020 to Wednesday, 23 and Tuesday, 29 to Thursday, 31 December 2020.

 

  • The  University’s Counselling service is also offering a social day on Tuesday 29th December for anyone on campus to pop in for a chat, coffee & pre wrapped cakes. 

 

  • Student Space offers students wellbeing advice and support. They can be contacted by: Text ‘student’ to 85258 24 hours a day 7 days a week, phone 0808 1895260 – 4pm to 11pm
  • Samaritans can be contacted 24/7 on 116123 or you can email jo@samaritans.org and you will get a response within 24 hours
  • Papyrus can be contacted on 0800 068 4141 every day 9am to 12 midnight
  • Text SHOUT on 85258 who offer 24/7 text mental health support and are open 24/7

Faith Services:

 

Faith services will remain open over the winter break, including COVID safe worship, you can find out more information about accessing our campus faith services here.
