Stop settling for a background role. It’s time to give the student experience a Main Character upgrade.

Manifesto Question Responses

Why are you running to be an Officer?

I’m running because I’ve spent the last few years at Liverpool seeing how much we all balance, and I think the Guild should be the place that makes that balance easier. I’ve lived the 9 AM rushes and the exam season stress, and I’ve realised that while the Uni is great, there’s a gap between what students need daily and what actually happens. I want to be the person who bridges that gap. I’m not here for a title.cI’m here because I care about the small wins that actually change your day-making sure our campus is as helpful, connected, and straightforward as it can be.

What qualities would you bring to the role?

I’m the person who believes being at Liverpool should feel like Main Character Energy, not like being a background extra in a giant machine. I notice the vibe-killers-the awkwardness of joining societies late or the coldness of social spaces. I bring empathy and resilience to the Guild, acting as a bridge between the quiet voices and big decisions. I’m a strategic thinker who uses analytical skills to prove why student belonging matters, and a negotiator who won't take no for an answer. Let’s turn ‘I wish I belonged’ into a campus that feels like home.

What would be your top 4 priorities, if you were elected?

1. ) Reliable Power: We’ve all been there-your laptop hits 1% right in the middle of a lecture, and the only plug nearby is either broken or too far away or does not exist. While the Uni is working on this, I want to make sure the focus is on reliability. I’ll push for a simple QR-reporting system at desks so broken outlets get fixed fast.
2.) We’ve all hiked up the stairs in the library only to find every desk occupied. It’s a waste of time we don't have. I want to collaborate with Library Services to improve Live Occupancy tracking for all major study spaces. You should be able to check your phone and see which floors are full before you even leave the house. By making our study spaces smarter,we can spend less time searching for a chair and more time actually getting our work done. Not just this, juggling Canvas, the Guild site, and various apps can be a full-time job in itself. I want to work with the IT team to simplify our digital experience. We need one central, User-First dashboard where your timetable, society events, and deadlines all live in one place. No more having ten different tabs open just to find a room number or a meeting time. Let’s make the technology work for us, not the other way around.
3.) University is great for academics, but most of us feel a bit lost when it comes to the real world stuff. I want to launch a series of peer-led workshops where we can help each other out with the practicalities: understanding your first tax code, knowing your rights as a Liverpool renter, and basic money management. Let’s make the transition to graduation feel less like a cliff-edge and more like a confident step forward. We can learn from those just a few steps ahead to make adulting way less intimidating.
4.) Societies are what make Uni feel like home, but being on a committee can feel like a mountain of admin. I want to simplify the boring bits-like room bookings and grant forms-so you can spend your time actually running your group and having fun. I also want to introduce a Society Spotlight to give our smaller or newer groups a louder voice. Whether you’re into niche hobbies or big sports, I want to make sure every student can find their tribe here without the red tape getting in the way.
