Manifesto Question Responses
Why are you running to be an Officer?
Iam running to be a Student Officer to make your voice heard and create meaningful change. With Vice President experience, I understand leadership and advocacy. I will champion wellbeing, academic support, employability, and a vibrant student life. From concerts and culturals to trips and societies, I aim to ensure every student feels included, supported, and empowered, with transparent and accountable representation at every step.
What qualities would you bring to the role?
1. Strengthening Student Representation and Voice
My first priority is to ensure that every student’s voice is heard and acted upon. I will engage with students across faculties and backgrounds to understand their concerns and priorities, from academic feedback to wellbeing and campus facilities. I aim to make student representation transparent and effective, ensuring that feedback leads to meaningful change in collaboration with the Guild and University.
2. Enhancing Student Wellbeing and Support
Supporting student wellbeing is essential. I will advocate for accessible mental health services, wellbeing programs, and academic support initiatives. My focus will be on providing resources that help students manage stress, workload, and personal challenges, ensuring that support is inclusive, visible, and responsive to student needs.
3. Enriching Student Life and Campus Culture
I want to make student life more vibrant and inclusive. This includes promoting concerts, cultural events, societies, and celebrations that reflect the diversity of the University of Liverpool. I will also support educational field trips, industry visits, and experiential learning that complement academic study, foster community, and create memorable experiences on campus.
4. Supporting Employability and Career Development
Preparing students for life after university is vital. I will campaign for stronger employability initiatives, including career workshops, networking events, internships, and skill-building opportunities. My goal is to ensure that every student has access to opportunities that build confidence, experience, and professional readiness, regardless of their course of study.
These priorities will guide my work as a Student Officer. Drawing on my experience as a Vice President, I bring leadership, organisation, and advocacy skills to the role. I will work with the Guild, staff, and student representatives to ensure initiatives are student-led, inclusive, and impactful. My commitment is to represent students with integrity, energy, and focus, creating a more supportive, engaging, and empowering environment at the University of Liverpool.
