Silent Study Facilitator - Virtual Opportunity

Details Hide[-]

Liverpool Guild of Students is creating an opportunity to study alongside your peers, if you're struggling to self-motivate then this is your chance to meet with your fellow students and keep each other on track.

We are looking for volunteers to facilitate these sessions, who will be expected to:

  • Set the tone of the session. Asking attendees what they'd like to get done in the time and encouraging them to create goals and track their progress. Give positive feedback at the end of the sessions.
  • Encourage friendly chatter and those blowing off steam whilst making sure that the session is not derailed.
  • Share study tips and motivational tools with attendees.
  • Record the attendance of the session in the Guild's reporting system.

These sessions will take place on Wednesday afternoons.

Students will receive full training on Guild and University services, as well as an overview on using zoom and conflict resolution. Training will take place on 05/02/2021 at 3.30pm.

You will have regular check ins from the Volunteering and Fundraising Coordinator to see how things are going once you begin volunteering.

Volunteers will only be expected to facilitate one 90 minute session per week, plus 15 minutes either side for set up and de-brief, based on their availability.

This opportunity is a great way to meet other student volunteers, make friends and complete your own assignments whilst volunteering. Hours logged for this opportunity will contribute to your Volunteering HEAR recognition.
