Open Culture is a social enterprise that wants you and everyone you know to take part in more arty stuff around Merseyside. Mainly because it’s proven to make your life a bit better.
Open Culture aims to nurture and support the arts across Merseyside through a variety of projects, platforms and events, inspiring people to create culture and developing their knowledge of and access to cultural events and activities.
Open Culture also works to build partnerships and collaborations that maximise the cultural offer on Merseyside. Projects include the likes of LightNight, Liverpool’s late night arts and culture festival, Tickle the Ivories a street piano busking festival in Liverpool ONE, and the Summer and Winter Arts Markets at Liverpool Cathedral. www.culture.org.uk
LightNight is a one-night opportunity for the city's arts community to showcase what they have to offer year-round through a varied programme of arts and cultural activity concentrated into a single, spectacular night.
Volunteering at LightNight is a great way to learn more about delivering arts events and get useful work experience for your CV. We're looking for confident, cheerful types who are enthusiastic about arts and culture, enjoy talking to new people and are willing to be an ambassador for LightNight and Open Culture.
