We are currently recruiting committed and enthusiastic volunteers to support groups of primary or secondary students at our learning centre in North Liverpool.

What is Academic Support?
Our after-school Academic Support Programme provides free tutoring and support to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in a stimulating classroom environment. Young people receive tailored help with homework, coursework, revision and study skills from a team of dedicated staff and volunteers.

What does it involve?

  • Attending a training and selection session
  • Volunteering once a week at IntoUniversity North Liverpool
  • Most sessions run for 2 hours and begin between 15:15 and 16:00
  • Supporting either Primary or Secondary sessions, helping students with their homework or supporting the running of our own curriculum workshops
  • Being a role model to our students and encouraging their learning

Academic Support Tutors can volunteer at the following times with students of different ages:

Primary - Tuesday/Wednesday 15:15 - 17:15

Secondary - Monday/Thursday 15:45 - 17:45
