It is well-known that Sydeny Jones library is freezing in the winter and unbearably hot during the Summer. I can't understand why this is gone on so long without change?
The reality is that students often walk into the library with blankets, hot water bottles and fluffy socks. Students will compare tactics for enduring the cold while trying to study and in the summer you can see students staring at the windows wishing they could open.
Reasonable room tempterature is a necessity for good study conditions. Just as a comfortable temperature in exam rooms is the responsibility of the University, I ask the University of Liverpool to fix the extreme varying temperatures in the library with fans, open windows, air conditining and heating.
