Job Title: Advocacy Manager

Responsible to: Director of Membership Services

Salary: £33,153 per annum

Hours: 35 per week- Full Time

Deadline: Monday 26th November- 9am

The Guild is looking to recruit an Advocacy Manager, which is part of The Guild’s Membership Services department. The Advocacy Manager is responsible for the coordination and development of the Guild’s advice and Nightline provision, including the supervision and management of staff and volunteers. They will also undertake casework, providing high quality individual advice and support to students. The role is key to gathering and providing information, which will inform Liverpool Guild of Students policy and its activities; as well as advising students on an individual basis on making decisions based upon their circumstances.

Job Title: Facilities Assistant (Building User Engagement) x 2 positions available 

Responsible to: Facilities Manager

Salary: £18,598 (Full Time- actual salary based on Term Time calculations pro rata and split into 12 equal payments across the year)

Hours: 40 Hours per Week Term time only

Liverpool Guild of Students is seeking to recruit a Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities Team. The Facilities Assistant will play an integral part within the team assisting the Facilities Manager and the assistant Facilities Manager in the provision of an effective Facilities Management service, which ensures the safe and efficient upkeep, cleaning, maintenance and physical security of the Guild premises and equipment. You will also be responsible for supervising Student staff within the department. An integral part of the role is engage with building users to ensure the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction. This is a customer-facing role, and as such, you we require someone with high levels of customer service skills, and with a can-do attitude to proactively deal with queries and issues with successful solutions. Overall, the post holder will play a significant role in further developing the reputation of The Guild for providing a great service to all building users.

Co-opted Trustees

We are currently looking to appoint a co-opted trustee to take the role of our Honorary Treasurer. We are especially keen to receive applications from professionals who have experience in the financial or legal sectors, or who have a strong business background.

Co-opted Trustees are professionals appointed for their skills and experience and can serve up to two four-year terms. This is a voluntary role however reasonable expenses may be paid.

Our Honorary Treasurer advises the Chair of the Board of Trustees on financial matters and Chairs our Resources & Audit Committee.
