Welcome fair news article

Welcome Fair returns on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd with its abundance of freebies, societies and of course pizza. We know you want to make the most of your time at the fair, joining as many societies or grabbing as many free pens as possible, to make sure you’re clued up we’ve got a sneak peek at everything you need to know.

What time is it?

Both Welcome Fairs are running from 10am – 4pm

We know that the noise and crowds at the event can be a bit much sometimes so we also run a quiet hour between 9am-10am on both days too.

Where is it?

The Welcome Fair takes over the whole of the Guild building but stalls can be found in the Courtyard, The Street and the Mountford Hall. Pick a starting point and work your way round.

There will also be performances from our performing arts societies in the Stanley Theatre between 12pm and 2pm

All of the Sports teams are located in the Sports and Fitness Centre.

What societies are going to be there?

Representatives from our Media, Performing Arts, Sharing, Culture and Faith societies will be on hand to tell you everything you need to know about their society. If you already know what societies you want to join we’ve made a little Welcome Week cheat sheet so you don’t miss out:

For all the foodies we will have stalls from Dominos, Bierkeller and La Tasca.

And for all your questions about next year’s accommodation we will have experts from letting agents X1 and Luxury Student Homes.
