NUS Representation

NUS is the National Union of Students. It’s members include over 600 Students’ Unions (including ours!) and represents over 7 million student’s nationwide. The NUS conferences are the lead decision making bodies. Delegates attend to review the work NUS has worked on over the last year, decide on priorities and policy for the following year, and elect the leadership.

There are many conferences. National Conference is held annually in April and is the head decision-making body of NUS. Delegates are elected from each affiliated students’ union to represent students’ views on a national level.

There are separate conferences for Liberation Campaigns and for specific groups of students known as Sections which includes International, Postgraduate and Mature and Part Time students.

We elect students to attend all of these conferences and represent the view of Students at the University of Liverpool at a national level. Full training and support will be given to delegates, as well as the opportunity to feedback to us about your experience at conference, and how we can apply what you’ve learned.
